Topics & scheduling
The topic engine
Contentcron researches your niche with real web search — what competitors publish, what your audience asks, where the gaps are — and proposes topics with a working title, target query, and a rationale for why you can win it. Suggestions land in the Suggested tab; you approve, reject, or add your own with an optional brief for the writer.
Queue and cadence
- Approved topics form the queue. A daily scheduler starts the next due article while you're under your weekly cadence (default 7 articles/week, configurable per project).
- Each queued topic shows its projected write date ("writes tomorrow", "writes in 3 days"), computed from the same rule the scheduler uses.
Write nowon any topic skips the schedule and starts immediately. Pausing the project stops the scheduler without losing the queue.- Topics can carry an explicit date — the scheduler won't start them earlier.
Search Console opportunities
Connect Google Search Console (project settings) and the topic engine gets your striking-distance queries — real searches where you already rank positions 8–25. Those are weighted heavily in suggestions because they're the fastest path to page one. The same connection powers per-article click/impression/position metrics and automatic refresh PRs for decaying articles.
What happens when a topic is written
The pipeline runs research (web search on the topic and its top-ranking competition), then writes the full MDX in your brand voice, then publishes per your project's publish mode. You can watch each step live on the article page, with token counts per step.
